[Summary]復旦大学の張浩準教授らとの共同研究で、27.6%の高い変換効率を示す非鉛有機無機ペロブスカイト太陽電池材料の予測に成功しました。機械学習と第一原理の精密計算の組み合わせにより180038の物質から高い変換効率と熱安定性を有する4つの非鉛ペロブスカイト太陽電池材料を効率よく予測できました。今回の究成果は非鉛有機無機ペロブスカイト太陽電池材料の開発に新たな材料設計方法を示すと同時に、材料開発の新たな展開が期待されます。本研究成果は、Discovery of Lead‐Free Perovskites for High‐Performance Solar Cells via Machine Learning: Ultrabroadband Absorption, Low Radiative Combination, and Enhanced Thermal Conductivities と題して2021/12/14日付でWiley社Advanced Science(IF=16.806)にオンライ公開されました。

[Summary]広島大学大学院先進理工系科学研究科の加藤盛也大学院生(博士後期課程1年)、 中島伸夫准教授らは、東京工業大学科学技術創成研究院の安井伸太郎助教、同大学物 質理工学院の安原颯助教、静岡大学大学院総合科学技術研究科の符徳勝教授、高エネ ルギー加速器研究機構 物質構造科学研究所の足立純一研究機関講師、仁谷浩明助教、 武市泰男助教、ラトビア大学のアンドリス・アンスポックス主任研究員らと共同で、 チタン酸バリウム薄膜に交流電場をかけた際に引き起こされる電子状態変化のリア ルタイム観測に初めて成功しました。 物質に電場をかけた際に、物質を構成する原子間の結合がどのように変化するのか、 その場観察することは困難でした。放射光 X 線を用いた元素選択的な測定と、高速信 号処理が可能な半導体 X 線検出器を組み合わせることにより、この困難を克服し、バ リウムイオンとチタンイオンの静電相互作用を実験により初めて明らかにしました。 古くから知られているチタン酸バリウムは、人体に有害な鉛を使わない強誘電体とし て再注目されており、本研究により、この物質を使った材料開発に新たな道筋を見出 しました。 本研究の成果は、材料学で権威のある雑誌 Acta Materialia に 1 月 21 日付でオン ライン掲載されました。
